Truncated Cone
I have answered many interesting reference questions in my career as a librarian, especially as the librarian at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History. One of the most interesting questions came two weeks ago when I received a call from the editor of the journal Mathematics Teacher, based in Reston, Virginia. The editor had received an article for publication that contained a photo showing a truncated cone structure. The author of the article had not properly cited the location of the structure, so the editor was calling to inquire if we had such a structure on our premises. He emailed me the photo and I was immediately able to identify the truncated cone structure as the Nathan and Fannye Shafran Planetarium. Here is some more information from the architects about the structure. The editor promised to send the Library a copy of the issue that features our Planetarium as soon as it is published.
